Bull Brand Corned Meat and Cheddar Scone Our Bull Brand Corned Meat and Cheddar Scones recipe is a delicious blend of savoury flavours and flaky perfection.


  • 600g self-raising flour
  • ½ tsp Hinds cayenne pepper
  • 100g chilled margarine – cut into 2cm cubes
  • 1 can Bull Brand corned meat – cut into 0.5cm cubes
  • 3 spring onions – finely chopped
  • ½ cup cheese – grated
  • 375ml milk
  • Butter (Optional)


  1. Preheat an oven to 180°C and grease and flour a baking tray.
  2. Into a large bowl, sift the flour, add the cayenne pepper and rub the margarine in with your fingertips until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  3. Stir in the diced Bull Brand cubes, spring onion, ¼ cup cheese, and season well with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the milk, cutting it into the dry mixture with a knife until just combined – do not overmix.
  5. Place the dough onto a floured surface and gently roll out slightly, 6cm high
  6. Using a cookie cutter, cut the scones into rounds
  7. Place the rounds onto the prepared tray.
  8. Brush the top of the scones with extra milk and sprinkle over the remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
  10. Serve warm with butter (optional)
