INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 can Bull Brand Corned meat chakalaka, cubed
  • 1 tsp Pakco mild curry powder
  • 1 can Rhodes Quality Chopped and Peeled tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Rhodes Quality tomato paste.
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Optional: A handful of coriander for garnish

METHOD

  1. In a medium pot on a medium heat. Place your onions, garlic, ginger and oil.
  2. Fry this off till translucent. Add your tomato paste and cook for an additional 3 mins, add 2 Tbsp of water to deglaze the pot
  3. Add your Bull Brand corned meat chakalaka, Pakco curry powder, Rhodes Quality chopped and peeled tomato.
  4. Allow this to simmer for ±30 mins.
  5. You should have a thick stew consistency. If it is still watery allow to cook until reduced
  6. Season with salt and pepper as needed
  7. Garnish with some chopped coriander.
  8. Serve with rice or a roti
